Poly Weld (Refresher Course) - PMBWELD301 & PMBWELD302

ABOUT THE COURSE

This combined program is specifically designed to cover the skills and knowledge required to butt weld or electrofusion weld polyethylene (PE) plastic pipelines. It applies to welding undertaken in the field and in factory conditions. Pipelines may be for transmission of gas or liquid.

It applies to experienced operators who hold current certification for recertification or those who can complete a supplied supervisor report on their welding abilties and experience. You will be required to select welding parameters to be used, set up equipment, perform welding assess joints against specification and solve problems within the area of responsibility.

We have highly qualified Trainer and Assessors conducting this program and access to appropriate equipment to be able to conduct the practical aspects of the training program.

CUSTOMISED EMPLOYER TRAINING

If you would like this training conducted on site to a number of your employees, we can definitely cater to your needs.  CJTS has developed an Employer Pack that you will complete and contains the following to ensure we facilitate this course to your needs:

  • A booking sheet with full site details
  • Request for SOPS and/ or SWMS so we can train according to your standards (where applicable)
  • Supervisors verification for participating students so we can ascertain level of knowledge and skills
  • A call from your allocated trainer to discuss any specific needs

OPTIONAL COURSE INCLUSIONS

We can also incorporate FWPCOT2238 Cut materials with a hand-held saw (Chainsaw) just let us know.

The outcomes achieved by including this unit of competency are as follows:

  • Prepare and cut materials with a hand-held saw
  • Materials will be polyethylene plastic pipeline
  • Safely and efficiently use the hand-held saw
  • Carry our routine maintenance


Things to bring with you or have on the day of training:

  • Drivers Licence or another form of legal identification. E.G. Passport, High Risk Work Licence
  • USI Code
  • Previous Statement of Attainment or complete a Supervisor Report
  • The previous Statement of Attainment must be issued by a Registered Training Organisation within a reasonable time frame that is in line within the industry and legislation requirements. i.e every 2 years. 

All students will be required to create or obtain their personal USI. Certificates cannot be issued without this code.
